CONSTRUCTING HOMES
The
heart of the mission project is building housing for villagers, where all that
they have ever had were crude huts. Our opportunity is to provide needed
shelter.
At “The Village” we build homes made of concrete and / or concrete blocks with a concrete floor. Construction materials, plans, and tools are provided. We hire local labor for assistance and to install the thatched roof, but we build the rest of the house. See photos for some past work. See the attached Construction Manual for current construction techniques.
